How it works

From pixels to clean paths in four steps.

Upload

Drop a PNG, JPG or screenshot. Photos of signs or mockups can be straightened first.

Aftaris reads it

It spots the kind of image, the colours and any text, and suggests the best style.

Tune

Pick the colours to keep, set the detail and delete stray specks with a click.

Export

Download an SVG at the exact size you need, or a transparent 300 dpi PNG.

Exact colours

Your brand colours come out as they are, each on its own layer, with the background removed.

Cut-ready

One colour, closed shapes, holes kept and an optional CutContour layer for vinyl cutters and lasers.

Private by default

Tracing happens on your device. Images are only kept if you tick the box to help improve Aftaris.

FAQ

Good to know.

Is it free?

Yes. Tracing and export are free. Saved projects and team features will come later as a paid plan.

What works best?

Logos, icons, lettering and flat illustrations. Photos work in Poster style but come out stylised; a photo can't become a perfect vector.

Can I use it for vinyl cutting or laser engraving?

Choose Cut-ready, set the real size in mm and tick the cut-line layer if your cutter software needs it. Always check the file in your cutter software before cutting.

The text came out wobbly. What can I do?

Use a larger or sharper image, raise the detail, or retype the text in your design software. Aftaris shows the text it read so you can copy it.

Do you keep my images?

No, unless you tick "Help improve Aftaris". We do record anonymous settings (for example how many colours you kept) so the defaults get better for everyone. Privacy
